How it works
Step 1. GP consultation at Metta Medical
Book an appointment with any GP at Metta Medical Centre. Please bring:
- Photo ID — driver’s licence or passport
- Any employer, regulator, or licensing paperwork specifying what is required
- Medicare card (note: employment medicals do not attract a Medicare rebate)
Important: Many patients book without bringing their required forms or employer paperwork. Please bring all relevant documentation to your appointment to avoid needing a second visit.
Step 2. Assessment and documentation
Your GP will conduct the medical assessment, complete any required medical forms such as driving medical forms, pre-employment medicals, or gun licensing paperwork, and arrange any necessary testing.
Step 3. Testing
Blood, swab, and urine testing can be performed on the premises at Metta Medical Centre. For drug and alcohol testing that requires chaperoning, patients will be referred to our pathology partner Clinipath Osborne Park.
