Metta Medical Centre is open seven days a week at our practice inside Karrinyup Shopping Centre. We offer late-night appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday until 9pm, with weekend cover on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Last appointment of the day
To make sure your GP has time to assess you properly and write any required prescriptions or referrals before close, we ask new bookings to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing:
- Mon / Wed / Thu — last booked appointment usually 8:30pm
- Tue / Fri — last booked appointment usually 4:30pm
- Sat — last booked appointment usually 4:30pm
- Sun — last booked appointment usually 4:30pm
If you need to be seen near closing time, call reception first to check availability.
Public holidays
We are closed on:
- New Year’s Day (1 January)
- Australia Day (26 January)
- Good Friday and Easter Sunday
- ANZAC Day morning (open from 1pm)
- Christmas Day (25 December)
- Boxing Day (26 December)
We open with reduced hours on most other public holidays. Public holiday hours are confirmed on our Google Business Profile at least 14 days in advance.
What to do if you need a GP outside our hours
If you need medical attention when we are closed:
- Non-urgent: call healthdirect on 1800 022 222 — free 24/7 health advice from a registered nurse.
- After-hours home visit: book a National Home Doctor Service GP at homedoctor.com.au.
- Urgent but not life-threatening: Joondalup Health Campus Urgent Care Clinic (Shenton Avenue, Joondalup).
- Emergency / life-threatening: call 000 or go directly to your nearest emergency department.

Is Metta Medical open on weekends?
Yes. We are open Saturday 1pm-5pm and Sunday 2pm-5pm. Weekend appointments fill quickly — we recommend booking by Friday afternoon if possible.
Does Metta Medical have late-night GP appointments?
Yes. We have a GP rostered until 9pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Late appointments are well-suited to working professionals and parents who can’t attend during business hours.

We close at 5pm on Sunday. The last bookable appointment is typically 4:30pm to give your doctor enough consult time before close.
